Roof Cleaning
Before we clean your home's roof, we perform a detailed inspection. We examine the roof to identify of any problem areas and note what type of roofing material is used and the approximate age of the roof.
Power washing can be extremely damaging to your home's roof. High-pressure washing can destroy the fibers on roofing shingles which could void the warranty.
Clearview applies an eco-friendly soft wash cleaning solution under low pressure to ensure your roof is never damaged. Our patented formula of algaecides and mildacides are highly effective and safe for the environment, your family, pets and plants. To complete the process, we use a low-pressure, high-volume rinse to make sure the cleaning solutions and leftover debris are thoroughly removed.
Vinyl Siding
Power washing vinyl products only blows away the mildew and algae visually, it never kills it. It starts to grow right back within a month. Clearview soft washing system uses a soap solution to kill the mildew and algacide and coat the surface with a Mildacide and algicide to prevent it from growing back. We like to treat your house as though the mildew and algae is a growing cancer. For example, we want to clean and treat everything so you get a clean house for a longer period of time. Unlike yearly power washing we make it last three years depending on the conditions of your property. No sunlight hits the house which causes your house to grow fungus faster. If your sprinkler system hits the house as it sprays, our methods help protect the surfaces. We make recommendations covering everything that we see is wrong in order to keep your house staying cleaner for longer. Cleaning everything is important for longevity. We always clean outdoor furniture for free … here’s why: you have a teak table set that is three years old and looks black due to mildew growth. We put your table on the lawn whilst cleaning your deck and then we clean your table as well to prevent any mildew growth from being reintroduced back to the cleaned deck. You enjoy more longevity with our method of cleaning.
Stained & Painted Surfaces
Power washing is high pressurized water that strips paint and damages wood grain creating a light fur on the surface which then needs to be sanded and painted causing the homeowner unnecessary expense.
Clearview’s Soft Wash System is an excellent choice for stained and painted wood siding, decks, fences, and other surfaces around your home. Our low-pressure pressure application helps avoid cracking, chipping, and splintering wood, while the cleaning solution we use helps kill mold, mildew, moss, and algae growing along wood surfaces.
Clearview specializes in cleaning stained surfaces. We are able to clean mildew and algae out of a stain without removing the stain which happens during high-pressure power washing.
Cedar Surfaces
Using Clearview to clean your cedar surfaces is 70% cheaper than power washing and painting or staining
Clearview uses a soft wash system that only uses 150 psi of pressure and a soap solution. Our method does not destroy the wood fibers by raising the grain or blowing off stain and painted surfaces.
Power washing or pressure washing, that has been around for years, is an older and damaging method of cleaning cedar surfaces. It uses anywhere from 1500 to 4500 psi and is used by painters or commercial guys. Power washing uses high-pressure to remove a layer of wood to make it look new again. By doing this, you remove years of shingle life by causing the coupling of the shingles. You can only do this to shingles about five times after which you will need to replace all of the shingles at major expense. It also rips out all of the soft wood fibers and leaves a grainy look like furrows in a farmers field. These furrows actually allow the mildew to take better grip in the wood just like a plant growing in a farmers field and they allow the mildew and algae to grow and continue to hold water in the shingle. This is what starts the wood to rot. All of the raised furrows from the damaging effects of power washing now soften causing a condition called tip rotting where the fibers all turn black in appearance. The shingle becomes damaged and needs to be replaced if you don’t like that black rotten look they will have.
Clearview uses a soft wash system with Mildaside and algicide sealer.
Here is a typical example: A painting contractor employs the traditional methods of using a damaging power washer to prep and clean the house … let’s say this is a typical 5,000 square-foot cedar home with a cedar roof. The painter charges to power wash and prep the house and the deck. He cannot power wash the roof because of the steepness of the roofline and the pressure causing possible leaking of the roof. So far, the cost is around $2,000 and the contractor says, “Okay, I’ve ripped off all the wood with the power washer and now we have to put a sealer on.” He likes using Thompson Water Seal or he will recommend that you visit Home Depot and buy it yourself. To effectively treat your house, it will cost about $1,200 in product and will take four guys four days to apply the sealer at approximately $3,000 in labor charges. You have now invested $6,200 and are only doing further damage to your cedar surfaces that will break down unevenly in the sun, so now you are married to Mr. Thompson for as long as you own your home! You will have to power wash repeatedly to clean the house AND you will have to reapply Thompson Water Seal as well. You will be very unhappy with urethane sealers like Thompson because the cedar surfaces will look uneven because the sealers break down — starting on the sunny side of your home.
Clearview soft wash system for the same house including the roof, the deck, the fence and your furniture costs only $2,500 – complete! Your cedar surfaces are properly cleaned, treated and remain protected. Remember, the main reason your house looks dirty is due to the black mildew, the mold, the green algae and moss.
